I believe quality leather goods should age with character and remain in use for decades, not be discarded at the first sign of wear.

I offer careful repair and restoration services for both Gibson Handcraft items and selected pieces made by other makers, with a focus on preserving the integrity, function, and character of the original object.

Free repairs for life

​

All Gibson Handcraft items are made by me in my workshop in South Australia. First and foremost I am a craftsman and I want my customers to enjoy using their leather items for as long as possible. For any item made by me, repairs are free to the original customer or gift recipient for life (please register by email).

Terms​:​​

• Only items made entirely by Gibson Handcraft are eligible for free repairs, restoration work carried out on items made by other makers is not covered.

• Free repairs for life is only available to the original owner of any Gibson Handcraft item. This can be either the purchaser or original gift recipient. The Item purchased along with the owners name must be registered with Gibson Handcraft within 9 months of purchase.

• Items that have undergone unauthorised repairs or modifications, have been intentionally damaged or misused are no longer eligible for free repairs. Restoration and repair work may be quoted individually depending on the condition of the item, materials required, and extent of handwork involved.

• Dust bags are not eligible for free repair

• Customers are responsible for all delivery costs. An invoice will be sent out for the cost of returning the items to you

• Customers are responsible for the shipping of items, I cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit 

• Any costs incurred must be paid before the repair commences 

• Free repairs for life is a repair and restoration service. Items will be restored using materials available at the time of restoration. If a repair or restoration is not possible, for example due to a high extent of damage, no replacement item will be offered. 

• Gibson Handcraft reserve the right to refuse any repair if they deem the item to be beyond repair.
