LEATHER REPAIRS

Repair pledge  

 

​I will endeavorer to help you maintain and repair your Leathergoods for life, including items not made by me. For anything I make, repairs are free for life to the original owner or gift recipient (see terms below). For item not covered by my free repairs service, I'm happy to discuss repairs at a reasonable price. Please get in touch if you need a repair or any advice on caring for your leather goods. 

Free repairs for life

All Gibson Handcraft items are made by me in my workshop in South Australia. First and foremost I am a craftsman and I want my customers to enjoy using their leather items for as long as possible. For any item made by me, repairs are free to the original customer or gift recipient for life (please register by email). 

Registered items are also eligible for free cleaning and conditioning every two years (postage costs not included).

Leather repair service​

I am happy to discuss repair options for leather items made by myself or other manufacturers, please get in contact to discuss. An initial assessment can be made over the phone, but this may change once I receive the item and see it first hand. A final quote for the work will be given after I have made a physical assessment. 

Example repair costs (Gibson Handcraft products):

  1. Re-stitch buckle end of belt: $30 plus postage

  2. Change buckle of belt: $30 plus postage

  3. Full re-stitch of lined belt: $75 plus postage

  4. Re-stitch wallet: $40 plus postage

  5. Add extra holes to a belt: $10

Terms​:​​

  • Items that have undergone unauthorised repairs, have been intentionally damaged, or misused are no longer eligible for free repairs but may still be repaired for a fair cost

  • Dust bags are not eligible for free repair

  • Customers are responsible for all delivery costs. An invoice will be sent out for the cost of returning the items to you

  • Customers are responsible for the shipping of items, I cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit 

  • Any costs incurred must be paid before the repair commences 

  • I reserve the right to refuse any repair if I deem the item to be beyond repair
